"Yesterday Once More"
The Carpenters

To those of us who make the annual pilgrimage to the playground of our youth, this phrase may capture the spirit of what we feel while we're there.  As we arrive in North Myrtle Beach, our minds drift fondly back to those fun-filled days of youthful innocence.  That special feeling of independence as we gathered for a few days of relaxation with those for whom we cared most.

Today, we have rediscovered that feeling.  The warmth that comes only with being close to old friends.  That certain, inexplicable joy of spending quality time with those we want to be near.

Seeing the years melt away as we look into the eyes of our friends, we remember.  We remember what we were like then, and it doesn't seem so long ago.  True, times have changed.  Change which many of us feel is not for the good.  But within us, we reach deep inside to pull back those wondrous days.  For just a few days each year, we feel that youth surging through us.  It beckons us to remember.  And remember we do.  It's yesterday once more...
